Worship

I believe in the power and beauty of corporate worship. When the community gathers together and lifts one voice to God, something powerful happens internally and externally. There is a unity, a strength, a shared experience with divinity that binds our hearts one to another. I feel honored to help cultivate spaces where people praise, listen and respond to God together.

But my worship doesn’t end when the service does. I worship in many forms through nature, where God speaks of his kindness and intentions towards humanity in sunsets; through community where honest conversations and shared laughter add value to the experience of living, through acts of service, where compassion links our humanity and reliance and where we remember that we belong to God and to each other.

Scripture reminds us that God meets us in all these places and more. In the beginning He meets His people face to face; after the fall He meets us in a sanctuary, then in the embodiment of Jesus, and now in the indwelling Spirit found in those committed to Him.

Worship happens wherever we show up with open hearts. God speaks in the sanctuary, in the forest, in our neighborhoods, and in our acts of service. My calling is to help people notice Him in all those places and to create spaces, especially in community, where we encounter God together and experience the beauty of belonging.
