Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
-John 13:34–35

RELATIONSHIPS

I believe people grow best when they are truly seen, known, and loved. One of the clearest biblical portraits of this is Jesus’ interaction with the Woman at the Well in John 4. Jesus saw her way before He addressed her, He noticed her isolation and lack of community and the story she carried. He heard her questions, her hesitations, and even her defenses, and responded with compassion. Not with the same judgment she received from her community. He loved her by offering living water, identity, belonging, and hope, transforming her from an outcast into the first evangelist of her village. This encounter captures the relational heart of discipleship. Jesus meets people where they are, honors their story, and walks with them toward wholeness.

In my ministry with students, leaders, and families, I seek to embody that same posture. I build trust by showing up consistently, celebrating small wins, and creating space for honest, grace-filled conversations. Ministry for me is about walking with people, not ahead of them, listening deeply, guiding gently, and nurturing the growth God is already stirring within them.

Communty Touch Points

From shops and basketball games to in-home game nights and Barnes & Noble gatherings, creating opportunities for people to connect beyond Sabbath hours has been an essential part of cultivating real community. Faith grows in shared space and everyday moments. When people feel seen, heard, and genuinely loved, they begin to recognize the living God everywhere they go.

Baseball and Trust

For 6 years I joined the Middle School kids of our local academy for a season of baseball with the intention of making connections, building trust and inviting them to seek Jesus through baptism.

A Day with Jesus

In collaboration with the youth pastor and academy chaplain, I helped plan and facilitate the annual Day With Jesus event for public school and academy girls.

Over time, I learned that meaningful relationships are rarely formed by waiting for them to come to me. That realization has deeply shaped how I lead and serve today. I intentionally create space for conversation wherever I am, meeting new people, listening to their stories, and offering prayer, biblical insight, or hope whenever possible. Building connection is not incidental to my ministry, it is foundational to it.
