"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:2–6

Scholarship & Invitations

Scholarship is more than what I study, it’s how I live, lead, and equip others. Through my formal education at Atlantic Union College (B.A. in Theology & Religion, 2001–2005) and my graduate studies at Andrews University (M.A. in Pastoral Ministry, 2018–2024) ad soon to be at Southern Adventist University, I’ve built a strong theological foundation that continues to shape my ministry.

But my scholarship didn’t stay in the classroom. I’ve extended it into real-life ministry through coaching, content creation, teaching, and mentoring. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Marriage Facilitator and a Coach Champion Life Coach Facilitator, both of which have deepened my ability to guide others with wisdom and empathy. I’ve created and delivered presentations on a wide range of topics including mentorship, emotional intelligence, spiritual parenting, How to Read the Bible, Spiritual Disciplines, A Path to Trust after Betrayal, The Power of Feedback, Building Community, Biblical Interpretations, Doubting Adventism and Rebuilding Fatih, Insecure Leadership, Building Self-Esteem and more. I also developed an internship manual to help train and mentor upcoming ministry leaders, bridging scholarship with leadership development.

Below I display a variety some of this work.

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Fuller Theological Seminary/ Fuller Formation Cohort

(Lilly Endowment Funded)

I was personally recommended by Jake Mulder, a nationally respected ministry strategist, author, and former Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Fuller Youth Institute and selected to participate in a competitive, Lilly-Endowment-funded Fuller Formation Cohort, an exclusive pastoral leadership development experience for high-capacity early-career pastors across the United States.

As part of this cohort, I engaged in a year-long spiritual and leadership immersion that included:

  • Quarterly, guided spiritual formation retreats focused on deep soul work, sustainable leadership, and spiritual practices

  • Monthly cohort gatherings of pastors for peer-learning, mentoring, and collaborative reflection

  • Weekly learning modules featuring Fuller faculty exploring spiritual formation, leadership practices, and ministry resilience

This invitation-only program provided fully funded participation, including travel, lodging, meals, and training resources, and served as one of the most formative and spiritually rich leadership development experiences in my early ministry journey.

I learned so many lessons on perservering, faithfulness and living out my calling through this experience
